On Holy Thursday 2010, several friends gathered together at Saint Margaret Mary in Omaha for Mass. While standing around talking after the service, someone said something like "Wouldn't it be funny if we went to every church in Omaha...". Thus began the quest to visit every Omaha metro Parish in the Archdiocese of Omaha in one year.
Long story short: We're doing it! 57 Parishes starting on April 11, 2010 and trying to finish by Easter Sunday, 2011.
We're going to be sharing our Christian adventure here. Our thoughts about the churches, music, architecture ... thoughts about what is happening on in our lives ... thoughts about the Mass and the readings ... and thoughts about our relationships with our neighbors and God, with all the love we can find.
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.” 1 John 3:16

Eric, aka Onionboy Eric was born Catholic in Toledo, Ohio and grew up in the Chicago area. After many years of being unchurched and not knowing God, he reached a crisis point, and found that God had been there waiting for him all along. He tried different flavors of Christian faith before returning to the Catholic Church ten years ago or so. Saint Mary's in Bellevue is his home church. He enjoys golf, photography, board games, and swing dancing ... preferably combined.
Frank Frank is another transplant from the Chicago area. Born and raised Catholic, he was actively involved until recent years when his crisis of faith turned him into a lapsed Catholic. While he has made his personal peace with this, he hopes going to Mass with his friends can bring him back into the community. He enjoys swing dancing, video games, and whatever fun he can find. Oh, and gummy candy.
